DOING WHAT MATTERS TODAY!

Wow! I can't believe we've already done Part 3 of our 13 Week Pathway to Purpose Series. This week's topic is "Do What Matters Today" A wonderful concept if you are not sure what God's big purpose is for you. What we and Dr. Brazelton have found is that if we are faithful in the little things, God gives us bigger assignments. Listen to this podcast to find out more ideas about doing what matters today which can lead to more joy and more serenity along the pathway to purpose. Homework this week is to think of three things you can do this week to improve your self-care. (I'm going back to my weekly yoga class tonight!) Next, read about women of the Bible who did what mattered in the moment. Some examples are Lydia, Mary Magdalene and Mary, the mother of Jesus. Finally, write down all your roles; make up some creative descriptions of them like "Television Cop", "Family Financial Planner", etc. Have fun with this. And see which roles you need to emphasize and which ones need deemphasizing. We hope you have a great week. Please join us next week when the topic is "Loving Others as Jesus Loves Us." Until then....May God richly bless you!

LEAVING YOUR PAST BEHIND!

I'm Stephanie Ecke and I too want to welcome you to Part 2 in our series., Diane, Richard and I hope you will join us in the next few weeks as we bring you our series on Pathways to Purpose for Women by Katie Brazelton. Part 2 on "Leaving Your Past Behind" could very well be one of the most difficult stepping stones on the pathway to purpose. We hope this study will bless you. For those of you who wish to go further in depth, we've added some homework assignments. The first assignment is to read about Mary Magdalene in Luke 8:2 and John 20:1-8 "The Repentent Sinner" ; List 5 things that have caused you grief, pain, hurt, rejection or failure. How has God used one or more of these things for good in your life? Write about them. Also, list five succeses in your life - or happy memories. How could a combination of one or more things on your list be used to give encouragement to someone else? Write about this and then go give someone some hope this week! We look forward spending time with you next week for Part 3 "Do What Matters Today". We're praying for you and your continued growth. Until then...
